Here are a set of paintings I created about 5 years ago. They are oil paintings on canvas. They were about 20-30". I love painting in oil - but they paintings take a long time to dry - sometimes up to 6 six weeks! When you live in a house with hairy pets, and even hairier teenagers a lot of junk gets stuck to the artwork. But the process of painting in oil is so enjoyable it is worth it. For me, it is almost like sculpting because of the textures that are created. Also, the oils blend beautifully. I went away from painting in oils for a couple of years - but I am back at it. It is such a pleasurable experience.
These paintings have all been sold or given away to friends. I have no idea where any of them ended up - I'm not really big on record keeping.
This particular set of paintings were heavily inspired by the art of Ted Harrison, A.Y. Jackson, and Vincent Van Gogh. I hope you enjoy these. I'll post pictures of my new oils when I finish them.
